Ich b„Foi, espérance, amour “

La foi, les pensées pour la famille et les amis, ainsi que l'espoir de les revoir, étaient les ressources les plus importantes pour les soldats afin qu'ils puissent surmonter la souffrance, la misère et l'angoisse de la mort dans la guerre de tranchées.

On connaît bien le verset biblique  1 Cor. 13, 13 :
„Maintenant ces trois choses demeurent : la foi, l'espérance et l’amour ; mais la plus grande des trois est l’amour. “ C'est ce thème dont je me propose de m'emparer.

Les trois notions sont symbolisées par la croix, l’ancre et le cœur. L'œuvre se compose d'éléments en forme de cœur. On voit d'en face la croix, et de travers on voit l'ancre.

Le matériel utilisé est de l'acier Corten résistant aux intempéries (3 mm).
 

Mon rapport avec le site :
Un de mes arrière-grands-pères est enterré dans cette nécropole.
La foi a été très importante aux yeux de la fille de cet ancêtre, ma grand-mère, ce qui vaut notamment pour la triade „Foi, espérance, amour“, qui me fut léguée par le truchement de mon père.

Cette œuvre est le fruit d'une collaboration amicale entre un petit groupe d'Allemands et de Français.

„Glaube, Hoffnung, Liebe“

Der Glaube, die Gedanken an Familie und Freunde, sowie die Hoffnung auf ein Wiedersehen waren für die Soldaten die wichtigsten Ressourcen, um Leid, Elend
und Todesangst im Stellungskrieg überstehen zu können.

Bekannt ist der Bibelspruch 1. Korinther 13, 13:
„Nun aber bleibt Glaube, Hoffnung, Liebe, diese drei; aber die Liebe ist die größte unter ihnen.“ Dieses Thema möchte ich aufgreifen.

Die drei Aspekte werden symbolisiert durch Kreuz, Anker und Herz.
Das Werk setzt sich aus herzförmigen Elementen zusammen. Von vorne sieht man das Kreuz, von der Seite den Anker.

Das Material ist wetterfester Cortenstahl (3 mm).

Meine Beziehung zu diesem Ort:
Einer meiner Urgroßväter ist auf diesem Friedhof bestattet.
Für die Tochter meines Vorfahren, meine Großmutter, war der Glaube sehr wichtig und insbesondere auch das Motiv „Glaube – Liebe - Hoffnung“.
Über meinen Vater wurde es auch auf mich übertragen.

Dieses Werk entstand in freundschaftlicher Zusammenarbeit einer kleinen Gruppe
von Deutschen und Franzosen.

“Faith, hope, love”

Faith, thoughts of family and friends, and the hope of a reunion were the most important resources for the soldiers to survive suffering, misery and fear of death in trench warfare.
The Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:13 is well known:
“Now faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
I would like to take up this topic.

The three aspects are symbolized by the cross, anchor and heart.
The work is composed of heart-shaped elements. The cross can be seen from the front and the anchor from the side.
The material is weatherproof Corten steel (3 mm).

My relationship to this place:
One of my great-grandfathers is buried in this necropolis.
Faith was very important to the daughter of this ancestor (= my grandmother), which is particularly true for the triad "faith - hope - love", which was passed down to me through my father.

The work was carried out in friendship by a small group of Germans and French.

Für meine Großmutter war der Glaube sehr wichtig, und "Glaube, Liebe, Hoffung" das Symbol.
